I always used to get this notification each time I updated iOS, but this time I did not (and I was kind of freaking out, because I assumed it must have auto-upgraded). I too am on Mojave and don't want to break sync. With previous iOS updates you could choose if you wanted to continue to use the old version of Reminders, so as to remain compatible with older devices. Overall, I use handoff between MacOS and iOS quite heavily and other than these three oddities, not had any problems (other than the odd random glitches, which have happened since iOS first had handoff between Mac/iOS). But again, it's not all the time (probably just 3 times in the last month) so it's not too much of an issue. Sometimes I have to use the cable plugged directly between iOS and MacOS to get a sync to work (and then once I've done that I can go back to wireless syncing). While this does work, I have noticed is crashes a little more than in the past. This only happens sometimes, so it could just be a random glitch. When it appears on MacOS, the reminder will say "due date" instead of "remind me on a day" and because of this, I won't get an alert at the time. "Hey Siri remind me to return library books, Monday at 9:00am"). Sometimes I'll set a reminder on iOS via Siri (e.g. But I've had the same connection as in the past, so not sure why it would be an issue now. It could just be my internet connection, as I live in a rural area and even websites can be slow to load. Same with the play position in podcasts in iTunes (although that was always buggy). Now I notice it can sometimes (not always) take 5-10 minutes to appear. Likewise, I could start a note (using Notes app) on iOS and it would instantly appear on MacOs.
